5 Principles for Designing Landing Pages That Actually Convert

A beautiful landing page that doesn't convert is a beautiful failure. Conversion-focused design starts with a single, clear goal for the page — not a list of everything you want visitors to know.
Principle one: one page, one goal. Every element should push toward a single action, whether that's booking a call or starting a trial.
Principle two: lead with the outcome, not the feature. Visitors care about what changes for them, not the technical details of how you built it.
Principle three: build trust fast. Testimonials, client logos, and specific numbers do more to build confidence than adjectives ever will.
Principle four: remove friction from the call to action. Short forms, clear buttons, and obvious next steps outperform clever ones.
Principle five: test relentlessly. Even small changes to headline or button copy can move conversion rate meaningfully — treat your landing page as a living system, not a finished artifact.
